Google decided to follow the footstep of the much celebrated success of Apple iPhone, launching its own G1 powered by Google Android operating system.

In collaboration with Taiwan's HTC. The 3G-enabled G1 will have a 65K colour HVGA screen (480 x 320 pixels), which is the same resolution as the iPhone. Although being a touch screen gadget, the G1 will also have a trackball below the display.
Another noticeable difference from the iPhone will be the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which is a delight for those that prefer the feel of a physical keyboard than a virtual one.

Other features include an auto-focus 3 megapixel camera, built-in GPS, Wi-Fi and accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. however, bluetooth functionality will be limited, as it works only with headset connectivity. The iPhone is clear evidence that manufacturers can get away with that. and yet, we were talking about open platform in Google's Android.
apart from the Google attempt in mobile gadget. the once-leader Motorola finally make some sizzling noise in their marketing department.
Motorola announced their new luxurious handset, Aura which will debut this December. just in time for the Christmas season. Motorola Aura is the first handset in the world to feature a round 16M color LCD display.

It support quad-band GSM, 2 megapixel fixed focus camera as well as stereo bluetooth and USB connectivity. There is also 2GB of internal memory and the Motorola proprietary CrystalTalk technology onboard.
It is set to retail at 2000USD[approx 3000SGD].
Motorola Aura does reassemble the unique design of the already forgotten Motorola V70. i remember myself adoring a class mate using V70 during the polytechnic days.

final words for Motorola Aura, impressive design concept. however, for the price, one might not be contented with the average specs.
now my n73 is lying in the nokia service centre. i wonder will there be any hope. i am not having good sleep lately, thus resulted in mild sore throat and swelled gums. i desperately need some good news.
