*army-ptp phase*
120305 is my 1st day in d army. also d very last time i get to c my pink i/c till i ord 2yrs later. since i didn't go for d nafa test, i was posted to the 50th ptp enhanced batch(ptp with leadership) at pulau tekong, bmtc 2, taurus company, platoon 4, section 2, bed 01. cun remember much of wat happened during d earlier part as i am writing tis entry today(230505). onli can recall tat i went for a hair shave tat evening, spend my 1st sleepless nite tere. the following few days was mainly admin paperwork+preparing of helmet/sbo+5bx+combat pt+2 jabs of injection@both arms+chin-ups(i sux at chin-ups, till now still a zero fighter~arh...). cun remember hw i mix/interact w my bunkmates. erm...more intro to my bunk bah. my platoon sits on d 5th flr of t coy which is d highest lvl(fxxx up, got to climb d stairs countless times everyday), got sea view+sunset view+jetty view(sux lah, make all feel lyk goin home), den tere r 4 sections(or bunks), i was allocated to bunk2 with 12 beds in total. as bed01, i was also d bunk i/c. d remaining days of ptp phase r mainly of morning 5bx w or w/o run, breakfast, combat pt 1/2, medcine ball/dumbells training, chin-ups regine, lunch, bunk-cleaning, ippt cat. test, ippt skills training, lecture/talks, first aids lesson, th lesson(handling of rifles)..... so mani tings was taught during tis 4 wks.

finally all d tough stuffs come in...
1) imt/range shooting---before d real round shooting, saf makes us to go thru a few lessons of shooting using computerise rifle. den i was pushed out to tekong 100m range for d real stuff. it was consider d 1st outfield trip, having to stay almost 2 straight days outside.
2) 2/4/6/8km route marches---imagine u got to be in full battle order(fbo) & marched for d mentioned distance. goshed~ but lucki me, i made thru all these. kez~
3) field camp---tis was d highlite of bmt phase. having to stay 7days,6nites out in d 'wild'. no shower, no toilet, no lite@nite, no bed... argh...it was totali lyk shit lor. n 10s to some bloody fools hu simply 4gt to cover up their shits, d whole company need to dig our own shit-hole till d height of our knee lvl. every nite, have to use powder to cover every inch of our body, turning into a white zombie. oso ned to dig our own shell-trench + section fire trench. practicing how to move in a file, formation, incoming/rt drills, orange, range card, op/lp, camoflauge. oso, we get to have a feel of how different terrains is lyk by camping @ rubber plantation, oil-palm plantation & open field. d combat rations given was lyk not bad tasting at d start, but as days go by, it taste so awful. to sum up d field camp was d ultimate bic(4gt d proper term of it), whr everyone got to leopard crawl+back crawl for 70m under barb wire. damn xiong+tiring lor. my buddy aka yaolong was lyk drain out & ned attention from medic. & oso his snore, make me sleepless everynite@fieldcamp.
4) situation test---conducted by outside assessors, tis test sort of determine whether u will b placed in d commanders' school. 3days, 2nites@a venue closed to d open field campsite. i was grouped into detail D, lead by 3sg zaidan. dun realli lyk tos ppl inside, looked ugly & tok alot, so i juz simply kept quiet at most time. d weather was lyk hot in d morning den heavy downpour@noon. our second nite, we get to slp in d training shed as our campsite is totali flooded w mud+water.
5) grenade throw---can sense some of my frens r scared abt d throw, but to me, it juz nuting lor. so, eventualli i got d best throw as commented by both 2lt juay & 2lt sandeep, by directli hit on target. but junjie & hyzel got blind for their throws.
6) standard obstacle course(soc)---a run of 700m w sbo+rifle, thru 11 stations of obstacle including d low wall, monkey bars, low rope, chicken ladder... & another 600m run. most or rather all items r rather simple, while some of my platoon-mates can b realli scared of height or cun climb d bars/rope.
7) 16km route march---completed tis last march b4 d grad 24km march. surprising tat all can tahan thru, even songwen aka d mo regular. me got toes numbs+blisters, sobz~
8) bcct---self-defense course, whr u get to learn how to use simple punches & kicks for some instructors tat think he is beri big, fxxx him lah.
9) ippt---i managed to passed all except chin-ups. having a 3pts for standing board jump, 4pts for 2.4km run+shuttle run & 5pts for sit-ups.
10) agr+30:60+st+5bxs+survey+canteen break+scoldings aka lectures+admin time+parade march/drills+song singing
11) oc's evening---as pc said tat d whole platoon muz perform, we were break-up into 2 grps. 1 doin a play while another a musical performance. although i dun reali lyk d play & dominic's ablities of organising but it turn out to b funny & entertaining at d actual performance. d nite was fun & eveyone seem to njoy alot w d performances, mr taurus election, award-givings & d video clip. way to go, taurus.

me feel lyk expressing some personal views on army+my platoon+company. taurus coy was known to b a xiong coy but due to lta bernard bay aka oc, its different as he gives d recruits lots of welfare, me still remembered tat he almost tripped & fall over a bench while helping out to give us nite snacks, 10s sir. platoon 4 is lyk owas kana aim by d other platoons. when tere r stuffs happening, u can hear: 'muz b platoon 4'. d section commanders r kind+nice, juz tat ps shafiz might get nasty. 2lt nicholas can b realli funni when he mix w us but once we provoked him, gone case~ touch on my platoon now, muz mentioned a few names tat is on my hate list:
songwen--he is d no.1 on everybody bottom 5 list, d last to fall-in, act weak @ exercise+route marches, whrby he cun do 4km march yet can surprising complete 12/16km.
suhairy--ever since d field camp, he will b spotted munching on some food, b it during fall-in, exercises or in toilets. he was so scared tat he dun dare to throw d grenade.
david(sect3)--his face, i juz dun lyk.
vinesh--he is physcial fit yet he owas make himself commiting mistakes here & tere.
sebastian--i dun lyk his face, his character, his attitude, his everyting.
hanes--i hate him, he is another big 'cao gang' hu yet ppl dun realise. often lyk to tok cock & make damn lot of noise. tink mo can be his 2nd home too.
tere r still a few i dun tink i will b fren w or rather some of their action pissed me off.
hongwen, dominic, jieyuan, junjie, jameson, yaolong...
maybe tere r ppl hu dun lyk me or rather hate me, but soli, i dun cr.
once passed out for bmtc, i got two paths: sispec@tekong(if i pass ippt) or men@sg. erm... pop on 7 june, having 13 days more to go. juz hope i wil njoy my time & cherish all d moments in taurus coy, platoon 4, section 2. jiayou dudes~

*rach's bdae gift*
meetup w animal family@bugis aft sending in my sx1 for servicing. left for tm instead to get her gift. rach is throwing a party tis coming sat at her hse. since its her 21th bdae, we decided to buy someting more significance for her. oh, reuben change his mobile to motorola v3, cool fone, but aft playing, i dun lyk d functions, but tere is a limited black edition@198 out in market. mobilephones r coming out too fast & too boring. manufacturers r juz wanting to bite more into d market by pushing out fones of same features, designs & funtions. its so damn meaningless. had breeks for dinner@tm, den move to mac for drinks.

siemens is reali damn fast in servicing my sx1. received a voicemail by their staff saying its ready for collection. went down to bugis ard 8+pm. read some mags@kinokuniya, den tere was lyk a guy kept glancing at me. bought 2 concert dvds @ basement, 1 by yanzi another by fish leong. got kfc for dinner, dun lyk d staffs attitude. blahx~
