recently a few close friends of mine have been mentioning that vday is merely another weekday.. so much so till i begin to hum the same note as them..
take a look at couples these days, they are so used to dine in posh restaurants, checking into local hotels during weekends to pamper themselves or even better, throwing a wild
and focusing at the latest addition in the town, the singapore flyer, which suggested a limited $399 vday deal where couples able to have panoramic view of singapore downtown. but do take note, the tickets come with conditions, eg, having 11 other couples in the same capsule and cctv monitoring every movement made. talking about privacy.. a closer look at the ticket pricing, and as hilarious it can be, it cost only $59 for 2 during normal day!
i am sure people can recall on every 14feb, there will be groups of money-hunger people trying to sell flowers, soft-toys, balloons and all sort of funny items along the streets at orchard. what a 'welcoming sight' to foreign visitors! amazingly till date, the relevant authorities still ain’t taking any actions on cramping such activities..
on the other hand, a wiser option is to dine at coffee shops that serve red wine at heartlander prices. or simply stay put at home, wipe up some dishes, grab a bottle of wine from fairprice and enjoy the night watching rented-dvds.
so tell me, what can be better than saving your hard-earned money from being pocket by those profiteers whilst still having the opportunity to further spice up your relationship?
as for me.. its gonna be a lonely vday. well.. if u are interested to date me, quick drop me a call. else i probably be singing my lonesome night away in ktv.
before i go, a happy vday to all
