i love ubin island!

yesyesyes.. i am back at the most nature place in singapore again!

PULAU UBIN

i was at the island during the start of the year. nothing much have change since my last visit. perhaps nothing was change at all. but i do realised something on this trip, the islanders were indeed very friendly. especially the lady boss at the bicycle shop!!

the jetty was rather quiet in the morning.
maybe because its a weekday.

i was bed 4 while royston was bed 5 during ssc.

bed 2 and bed 4

bed 6, bed 5, bed 2, bed 4..
6524
haha.. can go buy 4D..

it was also junyuan virgin trip to ubin.
and royston lied!
he never sleep alone lor. he slept with all of us in the same bunk before lah!

we were so 'lucky' wor.
'Papa Charlie Golf'[PCG] intercepted our bumboat.
erm.. don't know what is PCG?
refer below
.
.
.

POLICE COAST GUARD!
never so up close see this vessel before.
previously, only see them smallsmall in size at whiskey tower during ns.
i think they suspecting mas selamat on board our boat.

"Welcome to Pulau Ubin"
the first signboard u will see on the island..
if u miss it..
better go check your eye-sight!

please rent your bicycle from this shop!!!
the lady boss was so nice.
she taught junyuan how to cycle and even charge us a cheaper rate!

this path was filled with stones and rocks.

i was having a hard time viewing this picture.
royston got me in a weird angle.

i think i shoot them in a very erm.. normal angle.. haha...

'touch-me-not' was spotted!
i love this roadside plant during primary school.
i will purposely go over them and their leaves will close up.

we ride past this quarry which was locked up.
i swam before in the lagoon when i was participating in OBS.
think of it now, it was such a cool experience!

it was the season of durian.
many durian shells were scattered along this path we rode.

durian king?? haha..

there were a few up-slopes that were quite steep.
we had to push our bicycles..

but the view of quarries we come across was so fantastic!

the water was like a mirror..

we were a little naughty and decided to took this path that was closed.

it was found out that this tree branch collapsed and blocked the path..

we stumbled upon this beautiful scenery..
there was this little bridge with rushing river..

how could we not have a picture with it! smiles~

finally, we reached our last checkpoint..
chek jawa!!

we began to scale this huge viewing tower..

.. and i think it was at least 5 storeys high.

the view from atop was marvelous.
something afar on the right horizon line caught our eyes..

it was bmtc on 'resort tekong'!!
hello recruits~

u can skip this..
i was cam-whoring..

we never bring tripod and were the only 3 on the tower.
so we had to place the camera on the edge of the tower to take this.

another group photo.
if you did notice, we came to ubin in four but how come only the three of us in group photo?
that's because junyuan went back to mainland after he failed to master cycling.

we quickly hurried to the boardwalk, but was told by the guard that chek jawa is already closed for the day!
wtf? we were uber disappointed.
my disappointment was twice of everyone.
i also missed chek jawa due to high tide during my last visit.
we were only allow to take a few photos at the entrance of the boardwalk.

we made our way back to the jetty as sun was setting.

we also did have some food on the island.

see those coconuts we were drinking?
i was having a hard time 'digging the meat'.
i hate coconuts!

this is my current desktop wallpaper.
the red clouds lasted only for a few minutes.
luckily, i managed to capture before it disappeared.

we took a lot more photos at the rocks before catching the boat. but i am not going to put up here. too unglam. haha..

after coming back to singapore, we hailed a cab to marina square to meet up with alex & xuanyi. if i knew earlier that alex was not alone, i would have took a bus instead. the 3 of us were so awkward as we were smelly and not dressing right.

we bought a bottle of red wine and sat along esplanade waterfront.
there were some walls which allow public to pen their thoughts.
so we wrote this..

haha.. so funny hor. i think junyuan never knew get to see this among the many scribblings.

we looked shagged inside this photo..

alex was trying to perform some stuns

we ended the day with this group photo. =)
